Dave Portnoy isn’t letting go of his long-running feud with WNBA star Angel Reese anytime soon. The Barstool Sports founder fired another shot this week, using just three words to stir the pot once again: “The beautiful game.”

That message came attached to a video clip of Reese struggling during a game against the New York Liberty. In the sequence, she grabbed four consecutive offensive rebounds after missing each putback attempt.

Portnoy’s repost wasn’t subtle. It was another clear jab in a series of comments that have become routine since Reese came into the discussion.

Feud Continues As WNBA Spotlight Grows

This latest dig follows Portnoy’s recent video commentary where he openly criticized Reese’s on-court demeanor and suggested fans of Caitlin Clark “should hate” her. “Angel Reese has been nothing but an instigator, agitator and [expletive] basically for the last couple years,” Portnoy said. “The jealousy that Angel Reese has towards her and has consistently shown makes Caitlin fans hate her.”

Portnoy’s disdain for Reese dates back to LSU’s 2023 national championship win over Iowa, when he called her a “classless piece of [expletive]” after her much-discussed celebration in front of Clark. That moment set the tone for what has become one of the most visible personal rivalries in women’s basketball.

Since going pro in 2024, Reese has remained a lightning rod for attention. Her aggressive style of play and outspoken attitude have earned both fans and critics. Last week, a hard foul followed by her reaction toward Clark drew fresh criticism, including another wave of commentary from Portnoy.

Though Reese hasn’t responded to Portnoy’s latest jab, her supporters quickly defended her online. Social media lit up with fans pushing back against what they view as targeted harassment. Still, Portnoy seems unfazed, doubling down on his stance and fueling an already heated narrative.

With the WNBA season gaining steam and both Reese and Clark drawing national headlines, this storyline doesn’t look like it’s fading soon. Portnoy, for his part, seems more than willing to keep it alive- three words at a time.

Tony Romo speaking on CBSTony Romo (Photo via CBS)
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is not the most popular guy on TV. That much was apparent while he was calling the Wild Card game between the Broncos and Bills for CBS on Sunday.

Romo, who has done very little to hide how much he admires Buffalo QB Josh Allen, had some praise for the MVP favorite while he was attempting to take his team to the Divisional Round.

Some fans felt like he was being overly gracious, while some simply couldn’t stand him talking in general.

“STFU AGAIN ROMO!!!!!!!!! I’M TIRED OF YOUR BILLS AND CHIEFS GLAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU’RE SICKENING ASF!!!!!!!!!!” an X user wrote.

“Can we start a petition to ban Romo from calling games,” another asked.

“Can Tony Romo get off his kneees for Josh Allen?” someone else chimed in.

“Tv muted when romo starts talking,” a fan claimed.

Tony Romo’s Partner Reached Impressive Milestone

While Romo was getting slammed, his broadcast colleague touched an impressive milestone.

Jim Nantz has been with CBS for over 40 years and reached his 500th game with the network calling Sunday’s fixture.

Nantz and Romo have been working together for seven of those 40 years.

Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in women’s basketball. Her outstanding achievements and dominant performances on the court have boosted her confidence in her skills. However, this confidence has recently caused her some trouble, as NBA fans criticized her for a recent statement she made.

In a recent episode of the “Roommates” show, Wilson stunned both the NBA and WNBA by claiming that she could defeat New York Knicks star Josh Hart in a one-on-one matchup. Additionally, she predicted that the final score would be 11-8.

“Score would be 11-8, me. I’m not saying you gonna go scoreless, 8 to 11 is pretty solid. So, what do you think it’ll be, Josh?” Wilson said.

Although Josh and Wilson both had a good laugh during their conversation, Wilson’s comment stirred up the basketball community. “She’d lose 11-0 w him only playing w his offhand,” one fan said.
