Pavia did all he could on Sunday to try to clean up the mess he had made the previous night. The Vanderbilt quarterback wrote a lengthy apology for the disparaging remarks about the Heisman voters. This came after finishing second in the Heisman Trophy voting. He lost to Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

The star quarterback had posted a social media message of “F-ck all the voters.. but family for life. He went even further at a club later that evening. Diego Pavia was shown in an Instagram video pointing his middle finger at a sign that read “F— Indiana.”

Mendoza earned 2,362 points, well ahead of Pavia’s 1,435 points and 189 first-place votes.

It seems that many people missed the fact that Pavia was seen with a known Instagram model at that club. She could be seen flipping her hair right next to him.

Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia will participate in the 2026 Senior Bowl. He looks to boost his NFL draft stock. The 23-year-old desperately needs to give scouts something to look at following his behavior lately.

Pavia had one of the best seasons ever by a Vanderbilt player. He threw for 3,192 yards, 27 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He further added 826 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. Vandy finished the program with a best 10-2 this season.

Diego Pavia has had an outstanding campaign with Vanderbilt. However, he’s not exactly a coveted draft prospect. He is not listed on the latest big board from Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department. Pavia was not included on ESPN’s Mel Kiper’s big board either.

His lack of draft stock is likely due to both his behavior and age. He had just a few more chances to show scouts that he is worth taking in the draft.
