Draymond Green is one of those players who definitely knows how to rattle his opponents.

In his impressive 13-year career with the Golden State Warriors, he’s earned a reputation as one of the best defensive players. And at times, he’s labelled as mostly a negative character.

But despite his fiery on-court demeanor, there’s no denying that Green is ultimately a winner. His passion and intensity have been key in helping the Warriors clinch four NBA titles.

Now at 35, Green is still bringing that same confrontational energy to the 2025 NBA playoffs. With just nine games played so far, he has racked up five technical fouls and two flagrant fouls. His latest technical came during the Warriors’ Game 2 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he threw an elbow in the direction of Naz Reid, sparking some heated moments on the court.

After the game, Green spoke out against the labeling he receives, particularly the stereotype of being “an angry black man.”

“I’m not an angry black man. I’m a very successful, educated black man with a great family. And I’m great at basketballgreat at what I do. The agenda to try to keep making me look like an angry black man is crazy. I’m sick of it. It’s ridiculous,” he said.
