The viral clip instantly set social media ablaze, with fans marveling at Carter’s sheer size and athletic build. At 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, Carter looks every bit the part of a future NFL star, and seeing him tower over veteran players and even head coach Brian Daboll only added to the excitement around his potential. Giants fans are buzzing with anticipation, hoping Carter can bring a much-needed boost to the team’s defense. Early minicamp footage like this is only fueling the hype that New York may have landed a generational talent to anchor their pass rush for years to come.
New York Giants rookie Abdul Carter has gone viral due to minicamp footage in which he’s shown towering over teammate Cam Skattebo and head coach Brian Daboll.
Carter, an edge rusher, was the No. 3 overall pick of the recent NFL Draft after a standout career at Penn State.
The clip below shows him stretching out in practice while dwarfing everyone around him.
“Abdul Carter makes Cam Skattebo look like a CHILD,” the NFL Notifications account on X captioned the video.

Abdul Carter Isn’t Getting His Way With The Giants, At Least Not Yet

Carter is one of the most intriguing rookies set to debut in 2025. Known for his toughness and versatility, he is expected to make a massive impact in New York.
The former Nittany Lions star wore 11 in college and tried getting the number in the pros, but his request was denied, given that it used to belong to Giants icon and former Super Bowl MVP Phil Simms. He also tried to get Lawrence Taylor’s 56, possibly because the digits add up to 11, but that wasn’t successful either.
He’s since settled for No. 51.
