Anna Trebunskaya is still dancing through life even after waltzing away from the Dancing With the Stars ballroom.
Trebunskaya made her DWTS debut on season 2 in 2006 when she was partnered with NFL alum Jerry Rice. They made it all the way to the finale, coming just shy of the mirrorball behind winners Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke.
Trebunskaya took a brief hiatus from the TV competition, later returning for season 5. She appeared on nine more seasons, including the all-stars season in 2012, where she was paired with Lachey. They were the second couple eliminated.
Trebunskaya left the show after season 15 in an effort to focus on her personal life following her divorce from her husband of nine years, Jonathan Roberts. (Roberts was also a pro on DWTS, last performing with singer Macy Gray during season 9.)

“We have enjoyed more than a decade of a very loving, loyal and happy relationship, but after much soul searching, we have decided to end our marriage,” the now-exes told Us Weekly in a 2012 statement. “We are committed to staying friends and dance partners. We have immense respect for each other as people and performers.”
Three years later, Trebunskaya returned to the DWTS ballroom and danced with actor Gary Busey during season 21. They finished in 10th place.
“Luckily, I was with Gary, and I didn’t have to do anything crazy,” she said during a 2016 red carpet interview. “There were mostly ballroom dances that were meant to be ballroom dances, except we did have one jazz routine. … It was great [and] it was hard work [to be on the show] as a new mom.”
Post-divorce, Trebunskaya moved on with partner Nevin Millan. The couple welcomed daughter Amalya in January 2014 and son Kaspyan in September 2017, respectively.
“Nevin and I got engaged before we even conceived Kaspyan,” Trebunskaya exclusively told Us in 2017. “We just never really announced it or made a big deal about it because life is just so busy and I got pregnant and we didn’t want to bring too much attention to it. Now that we have baby No. 2 maybe we can start figuring out our own situation and concentrating on ourselves.”
Trebunskaya and Millan have not publicly discussed their relationship in many years, though both still follow each other via social media.
“Getting the kids involved in the traditions of their heritage is one of the highlights of my adult life,” Millan previously wrote via Instagram in August 2020. “Their backgrounds are so worldly and multi-cultural, so @trebunskaya feel like the more we ground them in their ancestral cultures, the more they’ll feel connected to family and a part of something larger and universal.”

Millan occasionally shares family updates online and last joined his partner on the red carpet in 2022. Trebunskaya, meanwhile, primarily uses her social media account to highlight her professional business, save for a select few birthday wishes for Amalya and Kaspyan.
Along with prioritizing family, Trebunskaya has continued teaching at the You Can Dance studio she owns in Hermosa Beach, California.
“When I’m in my coaching mode. 😆 Just another side of Anna, the one that is a part #cheerleader and part ballroom #drillsergeant,” she wrote via Instagram in October 2025. “It’s an honor to be able to unlock people’s hidden talent, inspiring them to reach higher than they thought was possible, and all that through my favorite medium — the art of dance.”
Trebunskaya also remains a dedicated fan of the ballroom competition, returning to perform a special tribute to the late Len Goodman with other former pros in 2023. Two years later, she was spotted in the audience during season 34’s Disney Night.
