A New Jersey native whose inspiring initial appearance on “Jeopardy!” endeared him to many viewers will appear in at least one more episode after advancing in the Champions Wildcard tournament Jan. 7.
Harvey Silikovitz, introduced as an “attorney and worldwide karaoke singer” originally from West Orange, won $12,998 to defeat fellow past winners Jason Singer and Cameron Berry. The result automatically qualified him for the semifinal round of the Champions Wildcard, with the winner earning the final spot in the upcoming Tournament of Champions.
Silikovitz, who revealed on his first episode in March that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, said during his in-show interview that the Michael J. Fox Foundation reached out to him after his “Jeopardy!” appearance. The West Orange native has since worked with the organization on several projects and even met Fox at a recent cocktail party.

“You got to meet him! That’s great!” host Ken Jennings gushed. “He is a big ‘Jeopardy!’ fan, and I’m sure he’s delighted to see you doing so well.”
Silikovitz had $13,000 after the Double Jeopardy round for a narrow $200 lead over Berry. Although none of the three contestants correctly guessed the Final Jeopardy clue, Silikovitz secured the victory with a minuscule $2 wager.
Silikovitz complimented his fellow Champions Wildcard participants in an Instagram post prior to the start of the tournament, saying that the group was friendly and supportive of one another throughout the competition. He added that he hopes his time on the show “will provide further inspiration to viewers who are themselves coping with PD or other chronic illnesses or conditions.”
