However, ESPN college football reporter Jess Sims was pretty blunt when describing the conditions live on air. As she stood on the sidelines ahead of the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry game on Saturday, Sims gave a brutally honest weather report. She let a curse slip on national television.

With the temperatures dropping, Sims (who was bundled up in multiple layers) said, “It is cold as s*** in this stadium… just wait for it!” Her NSFW comment immediately shocked the studio panel, including Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit, and Nick Saban.

McAfee even joked, “If you’re keeping score at home, that’s Jess’ first bad word.” Sims, having fun in that moment, responded with, “Yes! It took four years, but I finally made it!”


The weather forecast was just as intense, though. Temperatures hovered around 28 degrees at kickoff, and a winter storm is expected to roll in by 1 pm. Michigan fans were already bundled up, but the cold wasn’t enough to stop them from packing the 107,000-seat stadium for this highly anticipated matchup.
