Goes without saying that the Big House in Michigan can get bone-chilling during a November game. However, ESPN college football reporter Jess Sims was pretty blunt when describing the conditions live on air. As she stood on the sidelines ahead of the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry game on Saturday, Sims gave a brutally honest weather report. She let a curse slip on national television.
With the temperatures dropping, Sims (who was bundled up in multiple layers) said, “It is cold as s*** in this stadium… just wait for it!” Her NSFW comment immediately shocked the studio panel, including Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit, and Nick Saban.
McAfee even joked, “If you’re keeping score at home, that’s Jess’ first bad word.” Sims, having fun in that moment, responded with, “Yes! It took four years, but I finally made it!”
The weather forecast was just as intense, though. Temperatures hovered around 28 degrees at kickoff, and a winter storm is expected to roll in by 1 pm. Michigan fans were already bundled up, but the cold wasn’t enough to stop them from packing the 107,000-seat stadium for this highly anticipated matchup.
Ryan Day Seeks First Win Over Michigan in Six Years

Ohio State coach Ryan Day is facing a familiar challenge this weekend: beat Michigan and end a six-year losing streak. The No. 1 Buckeyes will square off against the No. 18 Wolverines in what’s going to be a thrilling edition, snow or no snow.
Day’s tenure has been marked by dominance, with an 81-10 record, but Michigan’s had his number. Despite winning a national championship, Day’s just 1-4 against Michigan, and the Buckeyes have dropped four straight.
Even worse, Ohio State has failed to sack Michigan’s QB in two of the last four matchups, a key issue in these trench battles. As coach Day looks to finally break through, Buckeye faithful are hoping for a long-awaited victory in this bitter rivalry.
