The basketball world is praying for Indiana Fever star Lexie Hull after she announced the passing of her 14-year-old dog, Maggie.
In an emotional Instagram post, Lexie Hull shared the sad news of Maggie’s passing. The 25-year-old shared several heartwarming photos and videos of her and Maggie throughout their life together:
Anyone who’s had a pet before knows the irreplaceable bond and loyalty they provide for their owners. Hull was fortunate to have Maggie for more than half her life thus far, but it’s never easy to lose a pet, regardless of their age and the circumstances.
The basketball world and several WNBA stars, including some of Lexie Hull’s teammates, came together to offer their condolences and support:

Hull and her family just need to remember that they gave Maggie the best life possible, and that cannot be taken away from them. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hulls during this difficult time.
Lexie Hull Is Having A Career Year In 2025

The No. 6 pick of the 2022 WNBA Draft is enjoying the best statistical season of her young WNBA career here in 2025. Lexie Hull is currently averaging 8.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game, all career highs.
Speaking of career bests, Hull also boasts a 46.3 field goal percentage and a 49.0 three-point shooting percentage. Her contributions have been pivotal for an Indiana team that has been without Caitlin Clark for 10 games due to quad and groin injuries.
Indiana currently holds the No. 7 seed in the league standings, tied with the Washington Mystics and Las Vegas Aces. With Clark back, we’ll see if the Fever can pull away from the teams on the outside looking in.
