One ice skating coach is looking at serious prison time.
While Amber Glenn is thriving in Italy, her former coach, Benjamin Shroats, has been arrested on disturbing charges.
The North Texas figure skating coach was arrested Tuesday following a police investigation into allegations of inappropriate relationships with two athletes. His charges wonβt make him very popular in jail and prison. The 47-year-old faces charges of indecency with a child and s3xual assault.
Authorities added that one relationship allegedly began while the victim was a minor. Shroats is currently held on a $200,000 bond as investigators continue to look into the allegations.
According to Allen PD, the case was opened on Feb. 15. The Allen Police Department said they took 47-year-old Benjamin Shroats into custody on Feb. 17 at his home.
Many articles from recent years list Shroats as a one-time coach of Amber Glenn, a 2026 Olympic Games team event gold medalist. Aside from winning gold, she has gone viral for revealing her s3xuality and trolling her haters.

North Texas figure skating coach Benjamin Shroats is charged with indecency with a child, s3xual contact, and s3xual misconduct. Allen police said the allegations stem from two of his athletes.
During the bond hearing this week, a judge ordered Shroats toΒ βnot coach or teach any figure skating students.β
PerΒ CBS, court paperwork did not list an attorney but indicated that Shroats planned to hire his own.
Shroats is a familiar name in the North Texas skating community. He previously competed as a pairs skater and has coached in Collin County for more than a decade. Benjamin Shroats has been affiliated with the Dallas Figure Skating Club.
The Dallas Figure Skating Club, a branch of U.S. Figure Skating*, released a statement saying the safety and welfare of children is its top priority.
The investigation is ongoing.
