Danica Patrick did not hide her displeasure at the NFL’s performer selection for the upcoming Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show following the controversial reveal over the weekend.

The league unveiled Bad Bunny as the artist set to headline the event, making the announcement alongside Roc Nation and Apple during the Packers-Cowboys halftime break on Sunday night.
“Bad Bunny represents the global energy and cultural vibrancy that define today’s music scene. As one of the most influential and streamed artists in the world, his unique ability to bridge genres, languages, and audiences makes him an exciting and natural choice to take the Super Bowl halftime stage,” SVP of Global Event Production for the NFL, Jon Barker, said.
“We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage,” Roc Nation CEO Jay-Z added, praising what the artist has done for Puerto Rico.

Fans are having difficulty buying into the idea of having an artist whose songs are not in English headline the halftime show, and Danica is among that group.
“Oh fun,” the former NASCAR driver wrote in a tweet. “No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America’s highest rated television events of the year… not just for sports.”
Bad Bunny has also been slammed over a racist remark since being unveiled as the SB HTS performer, with a popular conservative referencing a quote in which he uses the word “gringos.”
The Puerto Rican previously spoke about staying away from the United States while on tour out of fear that ICE would be lying in wait to snatch Latinos up, but he has somewhat changed his tune, having confirmed that an exception will be made for the Super Bowl.
