Fernando Mendoza Hit With Wild Allegations From NFL Fans
Fernando Mendoza is under the spotlight.
Fernando Mendoza draws mixed reactions every time he speaks to the media. The Las Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback delivers polished answers that sound more like a corporate presentation than a typical athlete interview.
A recent video of him talking went viral. Many fans immediately labeled the performance an act. Mendoza uses precise language and process-oriented phrases.
The former Indiana Heisman winner and national champion has long stood out for his communication style. He took public speaking classes and keeps a detailed LinkedIn profile. His brother has defended him as completely authentic.

Fans have not held back in their criticism.
“I just don’t believe it. Russ and Tebow were cheesy as hell, but at least it felt genuine. I don’t doubt that he’s a down-to-earth person, but he deadass comes off scripted lol,” one said.
“Bro hit like 7 corporate terms there. Has to be a side bet with the boys,” another said.
“This guy definitely says ‘Teamwork makes the dream work’ in the huddle,” one added.
“I don’t know if Fernando Mendoza is just a good public speaker or what it is, but everything he says sounds scripted,” one commented.
Fernando Mendoza Still Trails Kirk Cousins

Klint Kubiak made the quarterback hierarchy clear after the Raiders’ preseason opener. Kirk Cousins remains the starter for now. Fernando Mendoza delivered a solid debut, but the coach is not ready to hand him the job.
Cousins opened the game and led a touchdown drive. He completed five of six passes for 50 yards. Mendoza then entered and threw a touchdown of his own. He finished 10 of 16 for 97 yards across four drives.
Kubiak still favors the veteran.
“Kirk’s been given the reps with the ones,” the coach said. “I think he’s had a solid training camp, and it’s his job to lose.”
The head coach did praise the rookie’s command.
“I thought he led a good scoring drive,” Kubiak noted.
“As far as getting in and out of the huddle and commanding the group and getting the play calls down, I saw the same guy that we’ve seen in practice.”
Mendoza will get another chance against the Texans. For now, Cousins holds the edge heading into the regular season.
