Former DWTS champ calls out partner after John Stamos’ controversial remarks about show
A former champion Dancing With the Stars team may be at odds after John Stamos shared his thoughts about the show.

Dancing With the Stars’ season 27 champ Bobby Bones appears to be taking issue with his former partner’s critiques of John Stamos following the actor’s controversial remarks about the show.
The dancing competition show will be returning for a 35th season on ABC this fall, with fans eager to learn who the celebrities will be who are going to participate on the landmark season.
However, John Stamos, who infamously portrayed Uncle Jesse on both Full House and Fuller House, broke fans’ hearts when he shared he wasn’t going to do the show – and had no intentions of ever doing so.
His remarks however, appeared to set off a firestorm, as Sharna Burgess, who last appeared as a pro dancer during the show’s 30th season, where she partnered with now-fiance Brian Austin Green, appeared to take offense with one comment in particular.
Now, after she called him out, Bones, whose show he made the comments on, and who happened to win the mirrorball with Burgess, has spoken out seemingly against her own remarks as well.

While sharing with Bones that he had no interest in doing the show, Stamos said, “I just never…What makes that show good is people suffering and looking like fools. They’re breaking their feet, calluses…I don’t want that.”
Burgess, 41, clapped back after the fact in a video that was since deleted from her Instagram Story.
“Why do I care because I’m not on the show? Because I was on the show for 15 years,” she said in the clip, according to EntertainmentNow. “Because the man that you’re speaking to is the man that I won with, who was the underdog, who laid it all out on the floor every time on what he did not start off being good at.”
She declared, “That is the last thing Dancing With the Stars is about.”

Now, Bones has seemingly weighed in on the conflict between his former partner and Stamos, taking to his own social media to weigh in.
“Hey everybody, it’s Bobby,” he wrote on Instagram. “Quick reminder before the internet sprains something. Before anyone comes after Uncle Jesse…have mercy!!! John Stamos was clearly kidding in our Dancing With the Stars chat on my show ‘the Bobbycast.’ That was playful banter, not shade.”
He continued, “If you’re reacting to a headline and not the actual conversation, that’s like reviewing a movie after watching the trailer. I love John. The vibe was laughs, not insults. Watch the full thing, then we’ll talk. It’s on Netflix or podcast audio.”
Burgess has not weighed in again on the matter.

Burgess and Bones won the show’s 27th season, and have continued to face backlash in the years since, with even Stamos poking fun at the controversy when he appeared on Bones’ show.
Recalling that his Fuller House co-star Juan Pablo di Pace also competed on Bones’ season, placing fifth, he ribbed Bones for stealing it from him.
“That guy won that year and you shouldn’t have won,” he said. “Oh my God, that was an upset. That kid, he got all 10s across the board then some jacka–- came in and beat him. That’s you? Oh my God, I’m done with this podcast.”
