Former WNBA guard Kysre Gondrezick is turning up the heat this WNBA offseason.

Gondrezick, a former All-Big 12 guard at West Virginia, started her WNBA career with the Indiana Fever in 2021. She then tried to revitalize her career on the Chicago Sky in 2024, but she was cut mid-season after averaging only 3.2 minutes per game.

Unfortunately, Gondrezick’s return to the hardwood this year was cut short by an injury. She was supposed to suit up for Athletes Unlimited, but she suffered a torn Achilles during a January workout.

“This hurts! Truly one of the hardest, most shocking moments of my journey thus far. I was diagnosed with a torn Achilles this week and am heading into immediate surgery. I truly don’t wish this upon anyone, but I believe in my creator and in the discipline of becoming the best player and version of myself from this experience. I am completely devastated with just one week away before reporting, but I would like to thank @auprobasketball for giving me more than an opportunity; they gave me purpose and hope in pursuit of my dream,” Gondrezick wrote on Instagram.

Despite dealing with a lengthy rehab process, Gondrezick seems to be doing just fine. She posted a swimsuit photo on Instagram this Saturday that generated plenty of buzz.

“10/10,” one fan said.

“Good lord,” a second fan commented.

“Breathtaking beauty,” another fan added.

“Body is tea,” an Instagram user wrote.

Kysre made history for Playboy.

Roughly a year ago, Gondrezick talked about exploring other opportunities outside of the WNBA.

“I am all over the place right now,” Gondrezick said in 2025. “I’m in acting classes, acting training. I’m getting ready to shoot some film work. It’s been a heck of a year. It is funny, someone said, ‘You have trended more since you’ve been cut and since you were in the league — and you were trending so much in the league.’ I’m just living in the beauty of my purpose.”

Well, Gondrezick made history this winter by becoming the first current female basketball player to pose for Playboy. She was featured in the “Winter 2025-26” issue.

Judging by Gondrezick’s latest Instagram post, she’s more than ready to pose for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
