During the latest broadcast of Fox & Friends, some viewers took notice of one host’s distracting on-air habit while delivering the news.

On Thursday, April 9, Fox & Friends co-hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade sat down to highlight the latest in news, weather, sports and entertainment. But as the trio touched on a number of topics including everything from the Gilgo Beach serial killer case, to the latest updates in Tiger Wood’s DUI arrest, and more.

But as the group delivered the news, many viewers were quick to air out their complaints about Ainsley’s on-air delivery. This comes as earlier this year Brian Kilmeade accused his co-host of yelling at him during a discussion on California’s proposed wealth tax and its potential impact.

One viewer called out Ainsley for reading off her physical notes, rather than the teleprompter or contributing to the conversation naturally like her fellow co-hosts.

The critic posted on X, “Watching fox & friends in the morning always see Ainsley Earhart when she’s talking always looking down reading from her notes. Very annoying is she that stupid that she can’t just put sentences together without notes. It’s Amateur Hour.”

Another viewer calling out Ainsley’s troubles reading off the teleprompter posted, “…Ainsley Earhart can only read a teleprompter every time she speaks off of that it’s pathetic.”

A third critic took aim at Ainsley for a different reason as they issued a complaint about the television personality’s tendency to turn news stories into a discussion about her personal life.

The viewer posted, “I kinda thought I must be the only one to think this. Never liked Hannity, and Ainsley ‘I love Jesus more than you do’ Earhart has become unwatchable. They both make every story about themselves. How about make F&F hosts Lawrence, Carly and Todd?”

Another viewer sending a message directly to Fox News’ X account asked, “why is ainsley earhart on your show? she is no expert on anything!”

This comes as Ainsley has been a staple of Fox & Friends since since February 29, 2016. She first joined the Fox News network back in 2007, and has appeared on a number of shows associated with the network including Fox and Friends Weekend, All-American New Year’s Eve, America’s News Headquarters, and on Hannity with her own segment Ainsley Across America. She has also appeared as a panelist on The Live Desk and Red Eye. As of April 2026, the 49-year-old journalist has been a host on the network for over 10 years.
