Jesse Watters Primetime was hosted by a fellow Fox News personality on Wednesday, July 8, while the show’s regular anchor was notably absent.

As the broadcast kicked off, Fox News’ Charlie Hurt, 54, announced he was stepping in for Jesse, 47, on Jesse Watters Primetime, though he offered no explanation as to why the regular host was away from the anchor desk.

Charlie helmed the entire episode in Jesse’s absence. He had also substituted for Jesse earlier in the week, drawing sharp backlash from viewers. This comes as Trump sparked health concerns while in Turkey for the NATO Summit.

During the broadcast, Charlie focused his coverage on Maine’s Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner’s sexual assault allegation — which Graham has vehemently denied — rather than acknowledging Jesse’s whereabouts, reports the Mirror US.

“Welcome to a special edition of Jesse Watters Primetime. I’m Charlie Hurt, filling in for Jesse. We start with a Fox News alert,” Charlie announced on air. “Another bombshell scandal just blew up inside the Democrat tent. Graham Platner, who has been accused of outrageous drinking, manhandling women, and sexting outside of his marriage, has just been accused of sexual assault.”

Fox News viewers wasted no time taking to social media to ridicule Charlie’s on-air delivery, lambasting him for what many described as seemingly “moronic” commentary. On X, one viewer wrote, “The maggot regime, Charlie Hurt, and Jesse Watters, are the dumbest people in the world. The most moronic pieces of s–t to ever walk the planet.”

Another user commented, “Yawn! Another self-important host!” while a third wrote, “Seriously, how can you be so much worse than Watters?”

While numerous people criticized Charlie, he did appear to have one supporter who remarked, “Jesse can’t be at work today again! ! He presumes to tell men what is ‘manly?’ Real men go to work on Mondays, Jesse!” in response to the criticism.

Jesse was last spotted on Fox News Friday, July 3, when he appeared on the network’s The Five program with fellow panelists, including Dana Perino, 54, at President Trump’s Great American State Fair at the National Mall in Washington, D. C.

The Great American State Fair encountered numerous problems, including a malfunctioning Ferris Wheel, concert cancellations, and low attendance.

Though the event was suspended due to extreme heat, the fairgrounds reopened at 5 p.m.

While Dana attributed the empty venue to the sweltering weather, which reached 102 degrees, Jesse stayed cool using his handheld fan.

Jesse was missing from another installment of The Five prior to his primetime show, prompting viewers to demand clarification for his unexplained absence following his coverage during the holiday weekend.

This development occurs as Trump health concerns mount following a startling new photograph suggesting ‘something is seriously wrong’ with the president.
