Fox News Viewers Turn On Jesse Watters After His Latest On-Air Comments Leave Many Furious
Jesse Watters is under fire following controversial remarks about transgender individuals and men experiencing PTSD during a recent broadcast of Fox’s The Five.
The Fox News personality was discussing Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton, who became one of the first Democrats following the 2024 elections to openly challenge his party’s position on transgender athletes in competitive sports.
While weighing in on Moulton’s views regarding transgender athletes, Watters shifted focus to what he characterized as “rules” for men. “It’s really disgusting. Also, rules for men. If you’re a guy, you can not use the phrase, ‘Trans community,'” Watters declared to his audience. It comes after Jesse admitted doing ‘something very wrong.’
He went on, “Number two, you also can’t use the word ‘trauma.’ Only if you’re a doctor can you use the word ‘trauma.’ Men don’t feel trauma.Trans men, whatever that is, don’t feel trauma. You can’t feel traumatized.”
“Is everybody agreeing with me here? God! Maybe in war, you can be traumatized. Or, like, when you have to wait for your wife when she’s shopping,” he concluded.

His statements immediately drew sharp criticism from audiences and commentators across social media platforms, with many accusing the Fox host of imposing rigid standards on masculinity while challenging his dismissive attitude toward trauma, reports the Mirror US.
One person wrote, “Again…@JesseBWatters is an idiot!”
“Miserable f—— existence…creating all these rules to feel like a man. Here is one; if you have to create 1000 rules to feel like a man you are a massive f-ing p–,” another said.
“Personally, I think rule number one should be to ignore anything this clown establishes as a rule,” a third chimed in, as someone else added, “Does he really think he is the correct messenger of what is manly? Okurrrr.”
“Who the fck does he think he is? Seriously want to know,” one more echoed. “Imagine following a guy like Watters offering rules for men!” someone else quipped.
“Men don’t get traumatized? Is Jesse suggesting they are the ones who inflict all the trauma?” one asked.
Someone else begged, “Rules for men from a guy who looks like his primary source of exercise is yelling at his golf caddy. Shut the f— up, Jesse.”
The wave of criticism emerged as Moulton’s stance on transgender athletes continued to generate significant debate within Democratic circles. His decision to back trans athletes, and the subsequent fallout, is widely believed to have played a role in his defeat in Massachusetts’ September 1 primary against 80-year-old Senator Ed Markey.
Two years after Republicans made transgender rights a central pillar of their 2024 election attack ads, Democrats continue to grapple with how to communicate on an issue that resonates deeply with their base, yet polls unfavorably with a large portion of the broader electorate. Moulton, 47, focused his campaign on bringing generational change and fresh leadership to Congress.
Markey defended his record and highlighted his progressive agenda, including his backing of transgender rights.
