The New Mexico Lobos scored a huge win on Saturday, but their fan base did not have a good time.
University Stadium, where they play, has been around since 1960. The program is undergoing upgrades, including a new video board, enhanced concession stands, and larger entrances to improve the fan experience.
Unfortunately, current fans have to deal with the hell that is the stadium right now.
University Stadium stated that fans could expect improvements in concession stand operations and the construction of larger entrances, but for thousands of fans, the situation is not looking good so far.
One New Mexico Lobos fan posted a scary video showing thousands of fans in the concourse area not being able to move around just because there were over 40,000 people in the stadium.
Fans could be seen body to body and face to face as they complained about getting through.
“I was going to the restroom and this happened. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. This place is so packed. There are over 40 K here. Unreal. People are getting injured and pushing each other. We need to evaluate the concourse problem,” one fan wrote.
The last time a New Mexico football game went viral, an LSU fan got caught watching adult videos in the stands during their game.

With the largest home crowd in 18 years watching, the Lobos got their third straight win, marking the team’s fastest start since 2009. The defense tied a school record with nine sacks during this game.
The sellout crowd of 37,440 watched Layne pass for 303 yards and four touchdowns. He completed 23 of 30 passes with no interceptions.
In the end, the New Mexico Lobos finished with 476 yards of total offense. The University of New Mexico now leads the series 75-35-5.
