In a recent episode of his podcast, “Gil’s Arena,” Arenas and Tracy McGrady made some critical comments about James. Their remarks sparked a heated debate as they claimed that LeBron has always needed star players to help him finish games.

“He’ll be a better winner because the triangle is this. It makes you play…. Because Bron is so unselfish, all this extra moving he does will have elevated his passing… It helped him become a winner faster, even though he was really smart,” Arenas said.

T-Mac chimmed in on the conversation with some major questions on James. Arenas and T-Mac argue that LeBron relied on players like Dwyane Wade and Kyrie Irving to close games, as he struggles in one-on-one situations.

Recently, this debate got more fueled on social media after James got a Hall of Fame coat while still active in the league. Adding more fuel to the conversation, Magic Johnson recently commented on the GOAT debate in his recent appearance on the Earn Your Leisure show.

“I love LeBron, but he’s not Michael Jordan,” Johnson said.

Johnson claims that Jordan is his greatest of all time (GOAT) player over James.
