GOOD Morning America has hired a stunning meteorologist.

Leslie Lopez is the beautiful new resident meteorologist on the show after host Janai Norman made an abrupt exit from the role she had held for four years.

“Leslie Lopez has been named ABC News meteorologist after more than a decade at ABC7 Los Angeles,” the official Instagram account revealed.

“You’ll be able to see her on programs including Good Morning America and World News Tonight with David Muir.”

Speaking of her new gig, Leslie said: “This community has meant so much to me.

“You’ve welcomed me into your homes, trusted me through major weather moments and even shared in my life beyond the forecast.”

Leslie served as morning meteorologist for ABC7 since 2016.

Before her time on ABC7, she spent several years at KUSI-TV in San Diego and KGET in Bakersfield.

Reacting to the news, one person said: “She is a classy professional not surprised she was scooped up by the network. Big Congratulations @abc7leslielopez.”

Another penned: “So well-deserved but Leslie will be so missed here in LA.”

While a third said: “Congratulations! You will be missed in SoCal.”

And a fourth wrote: “She is a total professional and fantastic presence. Well deserved.”

This comes after Janai made a very abrupt and unexpected depature from her hosting role on GMA.

The weather anchor suggested in a statement after she was yanked off the air that the decision wasn’t mutual.

Janai had been an anchor on Good Morning America’s weekend show since 2022.

A source close to the situation told Daily Mail that the ABC decided not to renew her contract.

The anchor told fans last Friday that her time on GMA has been “cut short” – and that she wouldn’t be on the air the upcoming weekend despite not having a send-off.

“I’d hoped that we’d have more time. It’s been hard on me that our time was cut short. I have loved my job,” the TV star said.

“It has been a joy to connect with my coworkers and with viewers to help keep you informed and entertained and to create this community.

“So, it really breaks my heart that I don’t get to say goodbye. I’m so sorry that I don’t get to say goodbye. It would have been fun.”

Janai has since unfollowed GMA’s social media account, deepening the rift between the anchor and the morning show.
