Both Gerry, 74, and Theresa, 72, were invited to attend the current Golden Bachelor, Mel Owens’ After the Final Rose special during his finale episode on Wednesday night.

While it was the first time they’ve been under the same roof since their split, the exes did not come face-to-face.

“Theresa and Gerry were both invited to attend last night and they agreed to it under the terms that they wouldn’t be seated near each other.

“They also did not want to be shown on camera together, or forced to speak to each other at all,” an insider told The U.S. Sun.

“The teams on set coordinated to make sure they were separated the whole time.”

“It was really awkward and tense at first when they both walked in but eventually that faded and it went smooth,” the source claimed.

Both Gerry and Theresa were shown in the audience throughout the night to support Mel’s journey to find love.

While host Jesse Palmer briefly spoke to Gerry, who attended with his current fiancee, Lana Sutton, Theresa was seen more in the background.

In October, Gerry revealed that he was engaged to blonde beauty, Lana, just 15 months after finalizing his three-month marriage to Theresa.

“We’ve got BIG news. The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said ‘YES’. I Love this woman,” Gerry said in an Instagram post that showed off photos of the happy couple.

Meanwhile, Theresa has confirmed she is dating someone new, but has not yet publicly revealed who he is.

Theresa and Gerry have been taking swipes at each other since they broke up in the Summer 2024.

In his memoir, Golden Years: What I’ve Learned from Love, Loss, and Reality TV, he wrote “I began to worry she was going to run out the clock” after “dragging her feet” about signing a prenup.

“Then I would be faced with either calling off a very expensive, televised wedding at the last minute or entering into a marriage legally unprotected. I didn’t like either of these options.”

While the prenup was eventually settled before they exchanged “I do’s,” Gerry later discovered that Theresa’s feelings for him weren’t as genuine as she portrayed on the show.

The TV personality admitted he learned of Theresa’s true intentions after speaking with some of the other 22 competitors from his season.

“Several women shared a seemingly small detail that loomed large in my mind,” Gerry wrote. “While at the mansion, Theresa was reading ‘How to Win ‘The Bachelor.’”

The 73-year-old grandfather said the thoughts made him “sick to my stomach,” and it suggested that “her goal was never to find the next love of her life; it was to win.”

The week of his book’s release, Theresa appeared on the Dear Shandy Podcast, where she revealed a terrifying comment that she claimed Gerry made during their short-lived marriage.

“I finally went to [Gerry’s] house, and we took a walk around this lake called Pretty Lake, and we were coming to the end of it, and he said – this is really bizarre – he said, ‘You see that shed out there?’ I said, ‘Yeah,’ he said, ‘Well, that’s where I’m going to hide your body after I kill you and chop you up,’” she recalled.
