Gonzaga freshman guard Mario Saint-Supery on a cheerleader

He lost focus on what was really important.

Gonzaga freshman guard Mario Saint-Supery loves basketball and the ladies. Unfortunately, he previously lost focus during an important game.

Saint-Supery produced a viral moment after crashing into a cheerleader during Monday’s WCC Tournament matchup with Oregon State. The Gonzaga Bulldogs player seemingly forgot for a moment what mattered Monday night.

He crashed into an Oregon State cheerleader following a lay-up attempt in transition at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Saint-Supery clearly felt bad about it, as he could be seen on the broadcast looking very apologetic.

None of the cheerleaders appeared to be seriously hurt as Mario Saint-Supery checked on the cheerleader behind him. As he began speaking to the cheerleader while being helped up, a teammate became upset.

Gonzaga senior Jalen Warley helped him to his feet. Senior Graham Ike grabbed his left arm, pulled him toward him, and told him to focus on the game, not the women.

“Bro teammate had to tell him to lock in 😂😂,” an account said on X.

Saint-Supery is gaining social media fame for his interaction with a cheerleader. He seemed to be more focused on that than the game. He finished the game with a modest scoring output of 4 points, but had 4 steals, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds.

Ike, his teammate, led the Zags with a double-double of 24 points and 11 boards. He was the only Gonzaga player to score in double figures. Gonzaga came away with a 65-56 win. It put the Bulldogs in the West Coast Conference Tournament championship game for the 29th straight time.

Gonzaga will play No. 21 Saint Mary’s or Santa Clara in the title game.

Mario Saint-Supery is only 19 and averaging 8.4 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.7 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game.
