The celebrity contestants from the new season of DWTS have only been practicing for a few weeks. The fourteen Season 34 celebrities and their partners descended on the rehearsal studio in Los Angeles, California, in August to start learning their routines for the premiere. Twelve celebrities remain in the competition after a shocking double elimination. But one contestant was advised to drop out after suffering a serious injury.

Injuries Common On Dancing With The Stars

Another season, another injured celebrity. The contestants on DWTS have a long history of getting hurt during the season. Some injuries are severe enough that the celeb is forced to drop out. Others power through the injury as long as they can.

Season 17 contestant Bill Nye tore a ligament in his knee during a routine. He shared a photo on social media of his leg heavily bandaged. The Science Guy performed despite the injury but was sent home in Week 3.

No one is safe from injury or illness on DWTS. Longtime judge Carrie Ann Inaba missed the season premiere due to illness. Now a contestant is facing a difficult decision whether to stay in the competition or drop out after suffering a serious injury.

DWTS Season 30 Contestant Told To Drop Out After Serious Injury

The cast for Season 34 is veritable. It includes several reality TV stars, an Olympic gold medalist, and a movie star from the 1980s. Fans have been begging DWTS to cast actress Danielle Fishel on the show for years. She gained fame playing Topanga on Boy Meets World in the ’90s.

The show finally listened, and she was cast for Season 34. But her time on the show might be over already. She shared a video on TikTok that showed a shocking bruise on her thigh from the dance competition.

Danielle Fishel assured fans that she’s staying in the competition. But is she risking her health? A general physician at 10X Health told the Daily Mail that Danielle Fishel’s injury could be worse than she thinks. The doctor said that the bruise could lead to severe pain, stiffness, and even mobility issues.

The physician, who hasn’t treated the DWTS contestant, should drop out of the show. “The key is progressive rehabilitation rather than rushing back to full performance,” the doctor said.”

Another Contestant Takes Major Fall While Rehearsing

Danielle Fishel isn’t the only Season 34 contestant in danger of serious injury. Social media influencer Alix Earle shared a video of a scary fall she took during rehearsal with her pro partner, Val Chmerkovskiy.

The two appear to be practicing a double cartwheel for their upcoming dance. But Alix Earle takes a huge tumble during the maneuver. Several tumbles, actually. The TikTok video shows her falling several times trying to get the move right.

Tune in to DWTS on Tuesday, September 30, to see if she perfects it for the live show.
