Robert Irwin is on the brink of breaking down as he continues competing in season 34 of Dancing With the Stars.

“I am being held together by, like, tape, and my foot’s all bandaged up,” the 21-year-old confessed to People in an interview published on Saturday, November 15.

“I’ve been doing all of the cryotherapy and the saunas and the Epsom salt baths, and, like, everything I can possibly do to try and keep my body in line,” the star, who danced an emotional foxtrot in the ABC dance competition last week, added.

Despite doing everything he can to ensure he recovers fully, the son of “the Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin admitted, “Because, woo, it’s starting to break down a little bit, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

“You know, the fact that you get to give yourself 100 percent to this process to pour everything into it, it is just such a privilege,” he continued of his experience on the show. “I’m kind of becoming a dancer. Like, it’s a crazy, crazy thing to do in three months.”

Robert has been impressing fans with his DWTS pro partner Witney Carson for several weeks now and their partnership has seemingly blossomed.

Witney, 32, recently opened up about her experience of dancing with Robert during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, in which she reflected on competing against his older sister, Bindi Irwin, ten years earlier during season 21.

While speaking to the outlet, the dancer said she never thought she would ever be partnered with Steve Irwin’s son, admitting, “Never in a million years, and I’ll tell you why — he was so little when he was there [during Bindi’s time on the show] and I had just gotten engaged.

“Our age gap was very, very big, so that wasn’t even something that came to my mind,” she said. “Even when [it] was announced earlier in the year that he was going to be on the show, I still didn’t think that we would be partnered together.”

The pro dancer added, “It was honestly a true shock when he walked through the door when we first met [as partners].” She went on, “That was my genuine reaction of just, like, Oh my gosh. Like, I have a Robert Irwin [as my partner.]”

While being partnered with the youngster was a surprise, she said she was happy with the situation, explaining, “I’ve adored their family for years. I love Bindi, so it feels very full circle.

“From the second that he walked into the room for the start of the season, it just felt automatically right and meant to be. So now that it’s happened, it feels right,” she concluded.
