Rylee Arnold made her debut as a pro on DWTS in 2023. She was previously a pro on Dancing With The Stars: Juniors in 2018. She revealed last year that she has a life-threatening medical condition. After recent questions from fans, Rylee revealed what it’s like doing the show with the condition and how she manages it.

Rylee Arnold Allegedly Not Joining Season 34 Live Tour

Rylee Arnold and her Season 33 partner, Stephen Nedoroscik, were part of the reality show’s post-season Live tour. The tour goes around the country with a rotating lineup of celebrities and pros. Unfortunately, Rylee had to drop out of the tour before the end after spraining her ankle.

Disappointed fans were hoping to see her on tour this year. She’s paired with Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying. They’ve done well in the competition so far this season despite backlash over Rylee’s choreography.

A Live tour featuring Season 34 celebrities and pro dancers will visit cities across the country from Akron, Ohio, to Los Angeles, California. The names of the participants and dates will be released on the tour’s official website on Wednesday, October 8.

But rumors online claim that Rylee Arnold is skipping the tour this year. Is it because of her health?

She Talks Doing DWTS With Life-Threatening Condition

Rylee Arnold has been living with Type 1 diabetes since she was 15. She opened up about the diagnosis last year. Now 20, the professional dancer is still figuring out how to manage the condition and her career on DWTS.

One fan on TikTok wanted to know how Rylee Arnold hides her Dexcom device that monitors her glucose levels while she’s performing on DWTS.

The Utah native responded that she’s not intentionally hiding the device. However, she wears it on her lower abdomen, which is covered by her outfits.

The DWTS made another TikTok video with more details about how she manages diabetes amid her busy schedule as a pro on the reality show.

Rylee Arnold said that she eats before rehearsals or before the live shows to keep her blood sugar steady. “If my blood sugar is too high or if it’s too low, it really does affect my performance,” she admitted.

“Usually on show day, I try to eat just high protein meals and the most minimal carbs I can,” Rylee added.

However, she has had trouble managing her condition in the past. “I have gone out while being low before and it was not the best time ever, but I’ve learned how to manage it and figure that out.”

She revealed that her blood sugar did get too low once last season when she was dancing with Stephen Nedoroscik. She had leg cramps throughout the routine.

“Luckily, this season I’ve had it down to a T. I really make sure what I’m eating throughout the day doesn’t spike my blood sugar, and I also am just super aware,” she shared.

Rylee Arnold isn’t letting her life-threatening condition prevent her from possibly winning the Mirrorball Trophy this season. Do you think she has a chance?
