A new season of Dancing With The Stars kicked off this month with an all-new cast of celebrities hoping to dance their way to the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. The season is already ripe with drama after rumors swirled that one celebrity was being difficult on set.

Rumors Persist About Tense DWTS Season 34 Partnership

The DWTS celebrities and their pro partners plaster smiles on their faces on the dance floor and during interviews. But what goes on behind the scenes is a different story. There has always been at least one difficult celebrity on the cast.

One Season 34 celebrity got a late start to rehearsing for the September 16 live premiere. Movie star Corey Feldman reportedly had previous commitments that he couldn’t get out of. His pro partner, Jenna Johnson, won Season 33 with Bachelor star Joey Graziadei.

Corey Feldman did eventually make it to rehearsals. He did his best during the premiere but ended up tied in the bottom two with a score of 9 out of 20. He didn’t fare much better on the second episode, either.

The Stand By Me actor was again in the bottom two with a score of 15 out of 30. When it was time for the season’s first elimination, Corey Feldman and NBA player Baron Davis were sent home.

Jenna Johnson’s brother-in-law, former DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, told The Daily Mail before the second episode that Jenna was having a “difficult” season with Corey Feldman.

“Obviously, Jenna has a bit of an uphill climb with Corey, which is easy for everybody to say from [outside], but I know that she’s having a much more difficult time with this entire thing and to the point that it is really difficult for her,” Maks claimed.

He added that Corey Feldman wasn’t putting in the work to learn the routines.

Jenna Johnson Praises Celebrity Partner

If there were problems between Jenna Johnson and Corey Feldman, she isn’t admitting it. She took to social media after the elimination to praise her Season 34 partner.

“Corey 💘 Our time together was cut short but I am SO grateful for the incredible weeks we did get to share!! Thank you for the giggles everyday in rehearsal, thank you for the hard work, and thank you for sharing your life lessons and memories with me,” she wrote on Instagram.

She added, “I’ll cherish our friendship forever. Never stop dancing” and encouraged her followers to check out Corey Feldman’s new album.

The actor’s response in the comments took aim at the media for spreading lies about their partnership on DWTS.

Corey Feldman commented on Jenna’s post to praise their time together. He also shut down rumors that he didn’t show up for rehearsals.

“Im so sorry for any negativity the media is using to give the false narrative that our time together was anything less than enjoyable,” he wrote.

The actor defended his rehearsal schedule. Corey Feldman wrote, “And U know as well as i do that i was there 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks, doing everything in my power to give U my best, even if the judges couldnt see it.”

A source close to the actor told Page Six that Corey Feldman was upset with Maks for his comments. The most upsetting thing is the narrative that he didn’t show up and that he and his partner Jenna [Johnson] didn’t get along,” the source said.
