The post featured a slideshow of photos of his wife’s mother, Habu, and a heartfelt message from Drew honoring the grandmother of 10.

“My heart is broken. We have lost one of the most beautiful, kind and selfless people this planet has ever seen. Linda’s mom is truly one of a kind and was taken from us far too soon,” the reality star’s caption began.

“Thank you Habu for bringing so much light to our lives. Your laugh was infectious and I will always remember our late nights playing your favorite game 四色牌遊戲.”

Drew continued, “I feel helpless in trying to comfort Linda and her family but know memories of all the beautiful times with Habu will live on with us forever.

“You were always there for us and all 10 grandkids. The hardest thing for me is to know we won’t have you here to see Parker and Piper grow into strong and compassionate adults like you. I love you. I miss you.”

The comments were flooded with messages from fans and fellow celebrities sharing their condolences with the family.

“What a loving soul through and through. May we always remember and feel the love she shared,” Drew’s twin brother, Jonathan Scott, wrote.

“So sorry to hear this. Sending [red heart emoji],” actor Ike Barinholtz added.

“Our hearts are with you, so sorry to hear this, praying for Linda and the family,” singer Leona Lewis replied.

“So very sorry,” actress Viola Davis simply said alongside red heart emojis.

Drew and his wife, Linda, tied the knot in May 2018, eight years after they first met at a Toronto Fashion Week event.

The couple went on to have two kids: a son named Parker James, born in May 2022, and a daughter named Piper Rae, born in June 2024, both via IVF after years of fertility struggles.

Drew is best known for his real estate expertise and for co-hosting the HGTV series Property Brothers with his twin, Jonathan, who handles the contracting work.

The series, which ran for 14 seasons from 2011 to 2019, showed the duo helping transform families’ homes into the oasis of their dreams.

Drew also has experience acting in films, most recently starring in the 2025 action-comedy Love Hurts alongside Ke Huy Quan.

At the same time, the TV star revealed that he and his brother are helping rebuild Los Angeles after the destructive fires that engulfed the city last year, The U.S. Sun exclusively reported.

The siblings have banded together for numerous projects, including their furniture line, published books, and their role as co-founders of the entertainment and lifestyle company Scott Brothers Global.

Jonathan has been engaged to actress Zooey Deschanel since August 2023.
