The TV star shared how hard they’ve been working on perfecting their routines – which include a freestyle remix to “Black and Gold” by Sam Sparro and “The Nights” by Avicii, and a quickstep to “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet – in her Instagram Stories.

In a post shared on Friday, the mom of two revealed that she lost a chunk of her blonde locks while she and Robert were practicing their freestyle.

“Well, this happened … and yes, that’s my real hair,” Witney shared in the now-expired post.

“[It] ripped out of my scalp. Blood, sweat and hair into this freestyle.”

Witney and Robert are said to be frontrunners in the competition, having received multiple perfect scores from the judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Toniolo.

However, it could be anyone’s game, as the others have also impressed with their latest routines, with last week’s performances drawing in the most votes in the show’s history.

The duos still vying for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy are Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa, Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach, and Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten.

Robert’s fans have not only been wowed by his dance moves but also have a soft spot for his story.

His father is the late Steve Irwin, a wildlife conservationist and former Crocodile Hunter star, who died in September 2006 after being stung by a stingray.

Robert has been vocal about continuing his father’s mission and following in his footsteps – and his sister, Bindi’s, who won DWTS Season 21, with former pro-turned-judge, Derek.

The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed that the Irwin family is “already planning” on displaying Robert’s winning trophy, right beside Bindi’s, at their Australia Zoo.

DWTS producers have also eyed Robert as the one to beat, calling him the “clear favorite” from the beginning.

“Every season producers have their clear favorites, they kind of give the ‘hero’s edit,’ but this year, it’s not even fair for the other contestants,” an insider previously told The U.S. Sun.

“The show is all in on Robert and Witney.”

The source added that producers are “leaning heavily” into Robert’s uncanny resemblance to his father and his family’s support at the live shows.

Fans also appeared to be locked into Robert’s rumored romance with Season 32 champion and his dance partner during the 20th anniversary show, Xochitl Gomez.

The judges and Witney hinted that there could be feelings brewing between the pair after pointing out their undeniable chemistry on the dancefloor.

The U.S. Sun later exclusively learned that Robert and Xochitl have been enjoying “secret dinner dates” and have continued to see each other outside the show.

Still, as Witney’s hair mishap proved, she and Robert have kept their heads in the game and could end the season with a victory.

The Season 34 finale of DWTS airs on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC and Disney+.
