In a new interview with PEOPLE magazine, Ryan Seacrest opened up about his legacy as host of the long-running reality show. “I haven’t thought about legacy yet,” he admitted. Since debuting as host of American Idol in 2002, Ryan Seacrest has branched out into other hosting roles and his own radio show.

“In terms of what I hope people expect from me, or get when I’m on any show, is that they feel comfortable watching it. They enjoy it. It doesn’t seem like it’s too difficult. They can have anybody of any age watch the show,” he said about his hosting style.
