Indiana Fever Drop Announcement Involving Sophie Cunningham During WNBA Break
This goes beyond the basketball court.
Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana Fever headed into the WNBA break feeling good after securing their second straight win last Friday.
Indiana improved to 26-14 with a 111-91 win over the Connecticut Sun. The Fever currently sit fifth in the league standings, behind Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream, who also hold a 26-14 record and own the tiebreaker.
With the team resting up during the break, the Fever took time to give a glimpse of Cunningham’s impact off the floor. On Thursday, the organization gave a shoutout to her work supporting the military community throughout the 2026 season through her initiative, Cunningham Corner.

Cunningham Corner gives veterans a special experience at Gainbridge Fieldhouse during Fever home games. The program includes a meet-and-greet with Cunningham and premium seats for the game.
“Throughout the season Sophie Cunningham welcomed veterans to @GainbridgeFH for a special gameday experience featuring an exclusive meet-and-greet and premium seats courtesy of Gainbridge,” the Indiana Fever wrote on X.
The program adds to Cunningham’s growing work in the Indianapolis community.
She has visited patients at St. Vincent Women and Infants. She also helped raise $10,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities and has hosted youth basketball camps.
Cunningham has also shown strong support for military members through her annual Sophie Cunningham Classic. The high school girls’ basketball show includes a Military Appreciation Day, with current and former military members receiving half-priced tickets.
Cunningham is growing popular day by day. On the court, she has also been a steady, reliable for Indiana over her first two seasons in town. She’s appeared for 39 games in 2026 and has come off the bench in 36 of them.
The former Missouri guard is putting up 8.3 points a night on an efficient 46.9% shooting, chipping in 2.3 boards and 1.3 assists along the way.
Now, Cunningham and the Fever get a few weeks off to catch their breath while Team USA battles it out in the 2026 FIBA World Cup.
Indiana will return to the court on Sept. 18 against the Toronto Tempo.
