Fever coach Stephanie White to miss game for personal reasons | AP News

Indiana Fever fans have officially run out of patience with head coach Stephanie White.

The Fever hired White this past offseason with the belief that she’d take the franchise to the next level. After all, she took the Connecticut Sun to the semifinals in each of the past two postseasons.

White knew she’d face a ton of pressure well before the Fever started their 2025 campaign. That’s pretty much the only downside to coaching a team with Caitlin Clark on the roster. Fans will demand greatness every game she’s available.

Unfortunately for White, her 2025 season hasn’t started off on the right foot. Her team is currently seventh in the WNBA standings with a 6-7 record.

Following the Fever’s 89-81 loss to the Las Vegas Aces, several fans went on social media to voice their displeasure with White.

Some fans legitimately want Clark to hold out until White is fired. Of course, that won’t happen.

“FIRE STEPHANIE WHITE! HIRE @LisaBluder Caitlin and her millions of fans will NOT stay at @IndianaFever IF this BAD coaching, abuse & hate continues,” one fan declared on social media.

“The Fever should fire Stephanie White & waive Bonner, who has been horrible while there,” a second fan said.

“It’s a business. Fire Stephanie White. She is not playing around Caitlin Clark and her fast pace instead she is turning the players into playing slow. She is not a good coach,” another fan wrote.

“Can we just fire Stephanie White, please? It is obvious the Fever have taken a step back and are more boring to watch,” a Fever fan said.

For what it’s worth, Clark has made just 1 of 17 attempts from beyond the arc over the past two games. Fans can’t just blame the team’s coaching staff for the lack of success.

The Fever will be back in action this Tuesday against the Seattle Storm. It’s imperative they snap their losing streak and silence their critics in the process.
