Boston Celtics fans are already anxious with the news that Jayson Tatum will miss a significant stretch of the upcoming season. Amid this, Jaylen Brown recently opened up during a livestream about playing through injuries in last year’s playoffs.

But what grabbed more attention from fans was a lighthearted moment that turned into a viral incident. During the stream, Brown decided to call five of his Celtics teammates, yet not one picked up.

Brown began with Payton Pritchard before moving on to Derrick White. But both went unanswered. He then dialed Neemias Queta but met with silence again. Brown laughed at his bad luck and shared his disappointment with fans watching.

“Alright. I called D-White, see if D-White pick up. D-White married too, so you know what I mean? Damn, 0-for-2 gang. Alright, I’m calling Nimi right now. Damn, I’m sad, 0-for-3,” Brown said.

Brown then tried reaching Jordan Walsh, but Walsh also didn’t answer. Finally, as his last option, Brown called his closest teammate, Jayson Tatum. Shockingly, even Tatum didn’t respond.

I’m using JT on the last one. 0-for-5, chat. 0-for-5. What is going on? I called five, five of the bros. It’s something I’m not doing right. I gotta self-reflect. It’s something I’m not doing right,” he added.

Half the team is gone. I wish them the best. I appreciate them. They were great teammates. it’s a new era, everything has kind of changed and shifted,” Brown said.

As the new season approaches, Brown faces the biggest challenge of his career. While his stream showed a mix of humor, it also reflected the reality that this season will test his leadership and resilience more than ever.
