Jeopardy! pulls in viewers with intellectual trivia. But sometimes, what keeps them tuning in is an attractive contestant. Fans of the game show took to social media to lust over a heartthrob contestant after they revealed their upcoming return to the game show. Keep reading for all the details.
Jeopardy Fans Lust Over Returning Heartthrob Contestant
Competing on Jeopardy! is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But a select few contestants get second or even third chances on the game show. Host Ken Jennings appeared as a contestant multiple times on regular gameplay and specials. He took over as host after Alex Trebek’s death.

Drew Goins first competed on Jeopardy! in 2024. He didn’t win but was given the chance to compete in the Second Chance Tournament in January 2025. He returned to the game show again in the Tournament of Champions after Abbott Elementary star Lisa Ann Walter had to drop out. The actress was slated to compete after winning Celebrity Jeopardy!
Drew Goins charmed viewers during the Second Chance Tournament for his quick wit and intelligence, but his good looks didn’t go unnoticed. He took to social media this week with news about his upcoming return to the game show. He revealed that he would be competing in the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament. He mentioned February 9 as his return date.

Viewers Sick Of Specials, Want ‘Regular’ Games Back
While many fans were happy to see Drew Goins back, others expressed annoyance at the constant tournaments. One fan took to Reddit to vent.
“Too many tournaments! I’d really prefer seeing fresh faces.”
The reactions to the thread were mixed. Some Jeopardy! fans said they love the tournaments. But a significant amount of viewers agreed that the game show needs new players instead of constantly bringing back former competitors.
“I can’t tell if i’m watching reruns or what. Deja vu.”
“They replaced all the college shows and s**it like that with tournaments”
“It seems like people these days are more interested in contestants becoming celebrities.”
“It’s so boring. Enough already.”
“I’m so sick of the tournaments”
“I hate the invitational especially. I think I’ll just tune out for a couple weeks.”
“I’m fatigued watching same people over and over. We get it. We know they are great.”
“It’s too many tournaments in a row. And there’s no reason to do what’s essentially two different all stars tournaments a year.”
“I prefer the regular episodes too, the ToC is fun but rolling it right into the JIT is too much.”
The current tournament is scheduled for the next few weeks. The next “regular” episode with new contestants will air around February 20, depending how long the current tournament lasts. Tell us in the comments if you agree that Jeopardy! has too many repeat contestants.
