Kelsey Plum’s 2026 WNBA season has been a high-profile, fast-moving whirlwind featuring a historic start with the Los Angeles Sparks. The team she started with is not the same team she will end with.

The All-Star guard started the season putting up historic numbers for the Los Angeles Sparks before being dealt to the Phoenix Mercury. Social media erupted over the deal.

Plum originally signed a unique one-year, $999,999 contract with the Sparks to give the team roster flexibility. She then became the first player in WNBA history to start a season with four straight 25+ point games while shooting over 55% from the field.

Kelsey carried the Sparks by averaging a career-high 23.9 points and 6.4 assists per game. Now she has taken her scoring ability to Phoenix.

WNBA superstar Kelsey Plum is setting social media on fire after a picture resurfaced online. The viral image shows the multi-time All-Star athlete lounging comfortably by the water while modeling an incredibly stylish, minimalist outfit.

She was lounging by the water in a tiny black bikini, showing off her curves. Significant attention was drawn to the athletic yet feminine physique highlighted by the revealing bikini.

Showing off her body is not unlike her. Kelsey Plum previously went viral for exposing her thong and cheeks in a skirt during a promotional event.

Kelsey Plum cannot realistically win the WNBA MVP award this year. While her individual performance has been historically dominant when healthy, she has missed too much time on the court.

Plum suffered a lower left leg injury on June 21 that sidelined her for 11 consecutive games. In a relatively short WNBA season, missing nearly a third of the year heavily penalizes a player’s MVP candidacy.

MVP winners almost always play for top-tier title contenders. Plum started the year on a struggling Los Angeles Sparks team before being traded to Phoenix. They are currently fighting to secure the final playoff.

Kelsey Plum is averaging 23.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game across 14 total appearances during the 2026 WNBA season. She might not win it, but she is still a beast.
