Kevin Durant has recently garnered significant attention due to trade speculation surrounding him. After a lengthy process involving interest from various teams, the two franchises that came closest to acquiring Durant were the Miami Heat and the Houston Rockets.

The Golden State Warriors also appeared in the trade rumours. Durant played three seasons with the Warriors, winning two NBA championships. Recently, Durant commented on his reasons for being reluctant to rejoin the Warriors amidst speculation involving head coach Steve Kerr.

A fan recently claimed on his post on X (formerly Twitter) that Kerr was the reason Durant didn’t rejoin the Warriors. However, Durant quickly responded to that fan with a strong statement.

“We still on this??? Obvious opportunity for Logan Murdock to gain even more attention and try too revive his career by using my name and the Warriors. The audience is SICK AND TIRED of the same bullshit narrative. Be better my man,” Durant wrote.

In exchange for sending Kevin Durant to the Rockets, the Phoenix Suns will receive Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No.10 pick in the 2025 draft, and five second-round picks. Following the trade, Durant shared a striking message on his Instagram story, which has sparked significant interest and discussion among fans and analysts alike.

“Anyone else would retire, but I’m not content. I wanna bury these n***** like 20 feet down So no one can find them again,” Durant wrote in his Instagram story.

Durant had an impressive 2024-25 season, averaging 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists over 62 games. He was selected for his 15th All-Star game. Despite the Heat trying hard to bring in Durant, they were unable to match Houston’s offer.

Haliey Welch returned to social media following two weeks of silence prompted by the launch of her meme coin backfiring.

The “Hawk Tuah” Girl, as she’s also known, announced the release of a crypto altcoin branded $HAWK earlier this month that soared to a market cap of close to $500 million before quickly plummeting to a loss of 95 percent of its value.

She put out a tweet denying any wrongdoing in the immediate aftermath before disappearing. But she was back on Friday to reveal she was working with a law firm to take those responsible to task.

“You’re going to jail Haliey Welch,” another fan warned.

“I TOLD YOU something was not right….It made no sense for her to screw over her fans. I hope everyone is made whole,” someone wrote.

“I honestly feel bad for you.  When fame comes quick like that, everybody becomes your friend and it’s hard to know who to trust,” said another.

Haliey Welch Files Class Action Lawsuit

The law firm named in Haliey’s tweet has filed a class action lawsuit against the creators of the $HAWK coin.

They have also suggested that the “Hawk Tuah” Girl was a victim as she was fed bad information by people who were simply trying to take advantage of her viral success.

Haliey is expected to return to regular programming once she clears her name.

There’s a conspiracy theory for just about everything, including bizarre ones relating to the highly publicized relationship between Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The three-time Super Bowl champion has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift for over a year. Their rumored romance was confirmed when Swift attended the Chiefs’ Week 3, 2023 home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kelce’s romance with Swfit has been a giant win for the Chiefs and the NFL, too. She has brought plenty more attention to the NFL and contributed to the Chiefs’ skyrocketing popularity worldwide.

Naturally, conspiracy theorists believe the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance is simply a marketing ploy to help the Chiefs and the league. But Chiefs president Mark Donovan finally addressed the ridiculous rumor during an appearance on NBC’s “Squawk Box” program:

“I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship. And we’re happy to have it, and it’s been nothing but good for us.

I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is, Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. She’s an authentic fan and that matters to our fans and our fan base and to matters to us and we try to respect that.”
