Production on the upcoming Madden biopic hit a rough patch last Friday when a supporting actor walked off set just two weeks into filming. The actor reportedly quit after objecting to the use of the N-word during a rehearsal and expressing discomfort over a locker room scene involving nud!ity.

Five cast and crew members told TMZ the tension reached a boiling point during an impromptu monologue rehearsal with director David O. Russell. According to those on set, Russell allegedly used the N-word during the session, which upset the actor and others nearby. Several people walked off before lunch, and production shut down for the rest of the day.

Creative Disputes And Heated Moments

Sources close to Amazon Studios see it differently. They claim the actor himself proposed including the N-word during a private creative exchange with Russell. Although the term sparked discussion, the studio insists it never made it into the scene.

One source noted, “David did not say the word while shooting,” but wouldn’t comment on what triggered the actor’s exit.

Tensions were already building the day before the confrontation. The same actor had pushed back on appearing nud3 in a scene set in a locker room. Several crew members described Russell’s response to the refusal as “unprofessional,” while studio insiders argued the situation was handled respectfully. They said an intimacy coordinator worked with the actor to modify the scene, offering alternatives. In the end, Russell reportedly told the actor he could skip the shot entirely.

Amazon maintains that all cast members had prior notice about nud!ty requirements. “Nothing was sprung on anyone,” one insider emphasized. The studio also confirmed the door remains open for the actor’s return, and conversations are still ongoing.

Meanwhile, the production itself has been anything but smooth. One person working on the film described the set as a “mess,” citing rising friction between cast and crew. Method acting by leads Nicolas Cage, who plays NFL legend John Madden, and Christian Bale, portraying Raiders owner Al Davis, has reportedly added intensity behind the scenes. While the studio praised both actors for their full commitment, insiders insisted neither has caused any issues off-camera.

As the drama unfolds behind the lens, Madden continues its bumpy road through production, one that’s proving just as intense as the story it aims to tell.

Tony Romo speaking on CBSTony Romo (Photo via CBS)
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is not the most popular guy on TV. That much was apparent while he was calling the Wild Card game between the Broncos and Bills for CBS on Sunday.

Romo, who has done very little to hide how much he admires Buffalo QB Josh Allen, had some praise for the MVP favorite while he was attempting to take his team to the Divisional Round.

Some fans felt like he was being overly gracious, while some simply couldn’t stand him talking in general.

“STFU AGAIN ROMO!!!!!!!!! I’M TIRED OF YOUR BILLS AND CHIEFS GLAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU’RE SICKENING ASF!!!!!!!!!!” an X user wrote.

“Can we start a petition to ban Romo from calling games,” another asked.

“Can Tony Romo get off his kneees for Josh Allen?” someone else chimed in.

“Tv muted when romo starts talking,” a fan claimed.

Tony Romo’s Partner Reached Impressive Milestone

While Romo was getting slammed, his broadcast colleague touched an impressive milestone.

Jim Nantz has been with CBS for over 40 years and reached his 500th game with the network calling Sunday’s fixture.

Nantz and Romo have been working together for seven of those 40 years.

Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in women’s basketball. Her outstanding achievements and dominant performances on the court have boosted her confidence in her skills. However, this confidence has recently caused her some trouble, as NBA fans criticized her for a recent statement she made.

In a recent episode of the “Roommates” show, Wilson stunned both the NBA and WNBA by claiming that she could defeat New York Knicks star Josh Hart in a one-on-one matchup. Additionally, she predicted that the final score would be 11-8.

“Score would be 11-8, me. I’m not saying you gonna go scoreless, 8 to 11 is pretty solid. So, what do you think it’ll be, Josh?” Wilson said.

Although Josh and Wilson both had a good laugh during their conversation, Wilson’s comment stirred up the basketball community. “She’d lose 11-0 w him only playing w his offhand,” one fan said.
