Mark Sanchez wasn’t sure what happened to him after he got st:abbed in Indianapolis on early Saturday morning.
The former NFL quarterback-turned-analyst is said to have been the aggressor in an altercation that resulted in him sustaining severe knife wounds. According to a local bartender, he claimed to have been sh0t while calling for help.
“As I was closing, somebody was beating on the window, just a random person,” Scott Bennet, who works at Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery, told Fox59.com.
He added:
“I looked and saw that the person needed help and went outside and the person had bl00d on him, and he said that he’d been sh0t. Brought him inside and laid him down, and we called 911 and put towels over the injuries that he had.”
Bennet said he could tell that Sanchez didn’t get sh0t, although there was a lot of bl00d. He also did not recognize the former QB.
“I was trying to talk to him a little bit, tried to get his name, couldn’t really understand what he was saying. I didn’t recognize him at all,” he said.
The bartender did not find out that the man he had helped was none other than the former New York Jets QB.

Sanchez was eventually hospitalized and was later placed under arrest before misdemeanor charges of public intoxication, battery resulting in bodily injury, and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle were preferred.
The battery charge was upgraded to a felony on Monday, after investigators learned of the seriousness of the victim’s injuries. It carries a potential sentence of 1-6 years in prison.
The 38-year-old posted a $300 bond and is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
Despite being sta.bbed, police believe he was the aggressor based on hotel security footage, which shows him approaching a 69-year-old truck driver, climbing into his truck, and preventing him from calling for help.
The driver used pepper spray at first, but later resorted to a knife. He suffered a cut on his cheek and a neck injury.
He told police that Sanchez smelled of alcohol and his speech was slurred. The former QB claimed he could not remember anything regarding the incident.
