Former Lakers player Markieff Morris recently revealed another unknown, heated moment with Dennis Schroder during their time with the OKC team, fueling the recent controversy between Schroder and Doncic.

The former Los Angeles Lakers veteran star, Markieff Morris, often speaks his mind on almost any issue. Whether it’s about his former teammates or any other on-court incident, he always comes up with his version.

One notable incident happened during the 2018-19 season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Morris recalled getting into a heated argument with teammate Dennis Schroder during a team flight over a card game. What started as trash talk quickly escalated into threats, with Morris challenging Schroder to settle things right there on the plane.

“I got ni***s too. I got money too,” Schroder said. As a response, Morris replied, “Get up right now and let’s handle this s**t on the plane.” Moreover, Russell Westbrook joined in and added, “Yeah, somebody needs to smack that motherf***er.”

Schroder’s recent heated drama with the Lakers’ superstar, Luka Doncic, is making a buzz online. Now that this blast from the past came to light, the spotlight on his fiery on-court personality has grown even brighter.

Markieff Morris Shares His Version of Deandre Ayton’s Trade Situation

Speaking on The Morris Code podcast, Morris explained that he and Doncic often watched Ayton together and admired his effort and decision-making. However, he also added that Ayton is focusing more on getting touches than playing hard, which makes him an unwanted asset in the trade market.

“I don’t think anybody is taking Ayton,” Morris said on Ayton’s trade. “I was surprised the Lakers take him … I sat on the bench [with] Luka, whoever, and we watched Ayton play in Portland. And, some of the s*** he was doing, we couldn’t believe. And Luka was sitting right next to me. We looking at each other like, ‘What the f*** was that?’

Despite those doubts. The Lakers signed Ayton to a low-risk deal. While he shows flashes of dominance, inconsistency remains his most significant issue.
