Meghan Markle has famously returned to television since she and her husband, Prince Harry, stepped down as working royals. This has included a number of Netflix projects. However, one reality series’ stars have suggested they wouldn’t be too happy with Markle becoming part of their show.
Meghan Markle Became A Recent Topic Of Discussion For One Reality Show’s Cast
Markle, also stylized as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, first got her big break in television, notably appearing as Rachel Zane in Suits. However, for many, she became a household name when she married Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, in 2018. However, the couple stepped down as working royals in 2010, moving to Southern California.

While Markle initially retired from acting after her marriage, she has made a return to television. This has included projects the docuseries, Harry & Meghan, and the lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. However, there is one series that might not be too keen on welcoming Markle to become part of the show.
According to Radar Online, the ladies of The Real Housewives of London recently sat down for an interview just ahead of the second season. This included Juliet Angus, Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace, Juliet Mayhew, Panthea Parker, and Nessie Welschinger.
While speaking with host Melissa Nathoo, the ladies were asked if there were any celebrities they thought would make a good choice for the show. Loderick-Peace suggested Jennifer Aniston, saying “she’s a girl’s girl,” as well as highlighting Friends‘ enduring popularity in the U.K. Other stars suggested included Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria.
Welschinger then asked her cast-mates about what they thought about someone in particular, asking, “What about Meghan Markle?” This reportedly led to awkward silence before the ladies voiced their opinions.
The Ladies Had Kinder Words For Another Member Of The Royal Family
Two said in unison, “We’d rather not.” Angus added, “I would rather not. I do not want Meghan Markle on our show.”
However, the London ladies were a bit more receptive to another member of the royal family: Kate Middleton. Welschinger teased, “I think Kate would be wonderful. We all have a soft spot for a royal. And she’s got a great house!” She also added, “She would surprise people, she’s tough as nails.”
While unlikely to become a reality show star, the others also continued to share a few kind words for the Princess of Wales. For example, Angus also described her as “So elegant!”
