Trish Christakis, a rising star in NBA media coverage, became the talk of the league after she posted a picture of herself in a tight-fitting dress to sign off for the season.

The Miami Heat ended their season by getting absolutely run out of the building by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 138-83 loss to the Cavs completed the sweep and eliminated them from the NBA Playoffs.

But all was not lost in Miami’s disappointing end to the season. Heat reporter Trish Christakis turned it into an opportunity.

She would take to social media to reflect on the long season after her third year covering the Heat and show how thankful she is that she gets to cover the team.

One picture of her has been seen by more than 11 million people, and as a result, it has gained her thousands of followers.

The Miami Heat reporter is now revealing her new nickname after going viral late last month.

 

Christakis, who works for CBS Miami, responded to what she is being called in Greece.

‘So apparently TV stations in Greece are calling me Greek freak 2.0 might be the funniest thing to come out of this,’ she wrote on May 1.

‘Just to clarify… this was 100% a nod to Giannis Antetokounmpo that’s it lol,’ Christakis followed up her original post.

The journalist went viral thanks to her sense of style. On the sidelines, she donned a gorgeous brown dress. A picture of her outfit took social media by storm, attracting over 11 million views on X.
