Micah Parsons’ tenure with the Dallas Cowboys may have ended on a sour note, but he was sure to thank the organization and fans with a heartwarming message following his trade to the Green Bay Packers.

On Thursday afternoon, news broke that the Packers acquired Parsons from the Cowboys in exchange for star defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks. Parsons then agreed to a four-year extension worth $188 million.

Parsons requested a trade from the Cowboys on Aug. 1, following a lack of progress in contract extension talks. 27 days later, the Packers managed to strike a deal to honor his request.

Shortly after the trade was announced, Micah Parsons took to X/Twitter to thank the Cowboys organization and fans. Parsons admitted he didn’t want this outcome and that his heart remains in Dallas.

The 26-year-old also said he’ll still reside in North Texas during the offseason and continue his community work:
