Michael Beasley started his career as the second overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. However, he never quite lived up to the enormous expectations that followed him out of Kansas State. His NBA career ended quietly in the 2018–2019 season when he last played for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Beasley recently opened up about the harsh realities that accompanied his journey. During his appearance on the Big3 podcast, Beasley revealed that during his third year in the NBA, he was the victim of financial fraud at the hands of his own CPA.
“CPA stole from me. I was an NBA lover. My third year in the league, my CPA stole all my money. All my money. I remember being in Minnesota, I blocked Kobe Shaw. And after the game, my man showed me the picture. I remember I blocked Kobe Shaw. I didn’t have a dollar in my bank account. I remember that shit,” Beasley said.
Beasley also opened up about the loneliness and isolation he experienced during his lowest moments.
“That’s why I say, like, I went for crying for help to try myself. Like, everybody that’s, like, on my line now and everybody want to, like, I don’t want, I don’t like you. Like, my stomach was crying, and tomorrow came. I was hungry by myself, and tomorrow came. I don’t like you. I don’t, I don’t have to like you. I like me. I like me. So, I like me that much. I’m, I’m, because I was there for me,” he added.
Rich Paul Opens Up About Michael Beasley’s Career

Beasley’s NBA journey has long been a story of what could have been. During a recent interview with Entirely NBA, Rich Paul opened up about Beasley’s unfulfilled potential. Paul claimed that Beasley’s downfall wasn’t about his skill, but rather what he lacked off the court.
“There are very few guys to ever touch a basketball more talented than Michael Beasley. The professionalism aspect of this whole thing is so important, man. You sit back and ask, ‘Why ain’t he in the league?’ It’s because while they were there, and the talent was up here, they disregarded the professionalism. And the same people who were in a lesser role are now in a decision-making role, and they don’t wanna deal with that,” Paul said.
Throughout his career, Beasley played with the Lakers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Phoenix Suns. In his last season with the Lakers, he averaged only 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.

She continued: ‘Everyone needs a Davina. She’s been amazing, weird that we had the same health thing going on at the same time. She’s so calming and we speak every day. She is just the best
It comes after Fearne has seemingly made another thinly-veiled dig at her ex-husband as she gushed that she is the happiest she’s ever been in a positive update.
Speaking to Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Fearne gushed that she is ‘really happy’ and is ‘springing out of bed in the morning ready for life’.
Scott, who has known Fearne for 25 years, said he has never seen her ‘more positive or happier’, prompting Fearne to agree and reply: ‘Yeah I feel great!’
