Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley have reportedly made a sad decision on their friendship.

The two legendary NBA stars were very close for a very long time. Barkley and Jordan starred in the NBA together in the 1980s and 1990s. They were both part of the iconic “Dream Team” at the Olympics in 1992.

However, Jordan and Barkley have had a falling out over the years. Barkley, working for Turner Sports, was critical of Jordan’s decisions with the Charlotte Hornets. Jordan reportedly did not take well to the criticism.

They reportedly have not spoken in a long time.

Now, according to reports, they remain on non-speaking terms. Things have reportedly gotten so bad between them that ESPN’s Michael Wilbon has been asked to do his best to mend the fences between Jordan and Barkley. Wilbon is reportedly close to both men.

On Friday’s edition of Pablo Torre Finds Out, Torre asked Wilbon why he hasn’t brokered the peace between Jordan and Barkley yet.

“How have you not brokered the peace between Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley yet?” Torre asked Wilbon. “How has that not been your job? How have you not succeeded at that yet?”

“That has been my job,” replied Wilbon. “And that’s all I will say about it. That has been my job.”

Dan Le Batard, meanwhile, weighed in, too.

“Alright, that’s the other documentary we’re gonna have to work on then,” joked Dan Le Batard. “That one will sell because that friendship used to be a very special friendship. And it doesn’t seem to be anymore.”

Wilbon is doing his best.

“Yeah, that is true,” added Wilbon. “Pablo, it has been my job. It’s been my assigned job.”

It’s sad to see what’s come of the friendship between Jordan and Barkley, that’s for sure.

Hopefully, they can work things out before it’s too late.
