NCIS: Tony & Ziva has revealed its release window, as the Paramount+ spinoff of the NCIS franchise inches closer to bringing back the beloved pair. The upcoming NCIS: Tony & Ziva spinoff will feature Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Coto de Pablo) returning with a series entirely focused on their memorable couple. The 10-episode series will see the pair, alongside their daughter, Tali (Isla Gie), living in Paris, before going on the run in Europe after Tony’s security company gets targeted by an unknown antagonist.

According to TVLineNCIS: Tony & Ziva will begin on Paramount+ in Fall 2025. While an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed, this would mean new episodes of the streaming original will be airing around the same timeframe that NCIS and NCIS: Origins would typically return to CBS. It’s not yet clear if all episodes will be released at the same time, or if the show will follow the typical schedule of other Paramount+ originals with weekly releases.

The web of getting to Tony and Ziva’s return to the small screen has been quite a complex one, with Ziva originally departing in NCIS season 11. Tony left at the end of season 13 to raise Tali after believing her mother to be dead, only for her to make a surprise comeback in season 16. De Pablo’s character made her last appearance on the main show as a special guest star in season 17, while Weatherly returned to the cast of NCIS in season 21 for his own guest spot.

Unlike the procedural nature of other shows in the franchise, NCIS: Tony & Ziva will feature a serialized story, as every week builds on the threat to their lives. The Fall 2025 release window aligns with the expected windows for when NCIS season 23 and NCIS: Origins season 2 are going to start. This means three shows in the franchise will be airing at the same time, something that hasn’t happened since NCISNCIS: Los Angeles, and NCIS: Hawi’i were airing at the same time in 2022-2023.

The Perfect Time For A New Series To Launch

Michael Weatherly as Tony DiNozzo in NCIS

With the Fall usually being when new seasons of NCIS begin on CBS, it’s also the perfect time for NCIS: Tony & Ziva to start on Paramount+. This way, the show is airing in tandem with the other two yearly series in the franchise, both of which are directly connected to their characters. While it may feel slightly overwhelming to have three shows running on the same weeks in two different places, it also keeps there from being a lengthy wait for the much-loved couple to return.
