Former New York Jets and Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan went on a giant rant against Miami Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel following Sunday’s embarrassing blowout loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Nothing went right for the Dolphins in Sunday’s 33-8 loss to the Colts. Tua Tagovailoa turned the ball over three times and was sacked thrice in the 25-point destruction, while the superstar WR tandem of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle combined for just eight catches and 70 yards.

And for good measure, Tyreek Hill had to hear some friendly chirps from a Colts fan after meeting in an elevator.

McDaniel was regarded as one of the main coaches on the hot seat entering the 2025 season, so he certainly did no favors for himself in trying to silence the critics. And Rex Ryan really let the Dolphins hear it.

Speaking on Monday’s edition of ESPN’s “Get Up” program, Rex Ryan alleged that Dolphins players don’t respect McDaniel and resorted to name-calling:

“McGenius guy…nerd boy. But anyway, their team has no respect for the coach. They play like that…Where’s the physicality?!…They’re soft! Every part of their football team…They don’t play with any passion!”
