Drake Maye has a whole lot more to smile about this offseason, and it’s not just football. As the 2025 NFL season approaches, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye celebrated a major milestone by marrying his longtime girlfriend and high school sweetheart, Ann Michael Hudson, in a heartwarming ceremony with close friends and family.

The couple, who first started dating back in middle school, said their vows over the weekend in their home state of North Carolina. The celebration unfolded against the stunning backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains at the Grandfather Golf and Country Club, a private venue nestled deep in the Carolina highlands.

Maye, dressed in a classic black tux, was all smiles as he danced the night away with his new bride, who wore a strapless white gown with a full skirt that caught every spin on the dancefloor.

Ann shared several photos of the event in her Instagram stories.

Maye proposed back in January during a trip to Mexico, just weeks after wrapping up his rookie NFL campaign. The engagement came shortly after the couple marked their nine-year anniversary in October, a milestone Hudson celebrated with a touching Instagram tribute.

She recently graduated from the University of North Carolina with a double major in entrepreneurship and conflict management, while Maye, also a UNC alum, left after three standout seasons to enter the NFL.

Their wedding was filled with intimate moments. From the cake cutting to the couple sharing laughs under the open-sided reception tent, it was clear this was more than a typical offseason milestone. “I’m starting to really find a stride,” Maye said about his football journey during spring training, but he might as well have been talking about life off the field, too.

Maye, whom New England selected third overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, started 12 games for the team last season. Despite a rocky 3-9 record, he threw for 2,276 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. With new offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels now in charge, Maye says he’s growing more comfortable with the playbook and his teammates. “It’s all the same concepts in the league, but it’s different words, different verbiage,” he explained. “It’s been good.”

The Patriots open their 2025 campaign in Foxborough this September against the Las Vegas Raiders. But Maye already scored a win unrelated to football before taking another snap.

Clint Eastwood turned 95 recently, but it hasn’t been an easy year for the legendary actor and director.

On Tuesday, fans across the country poured out messages of support as news spread about his recent struggles. Eastwood has been mourning the sudden death of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera, who passed away from a heart attack earlier this year.

The Hollywood icon has kept a low profile since her passing. For fans who’ve followed his career for decades, seeing Eastwood go through this personal loss has struck a chord. Though the actor has rarely been seen in public in recent months, his son Scott Eastwood shared a welcome update that gave many people a reason to breathe a little easier.

Scott Eastwood, in a recent interview, reassured fans that his father is holding up. “He’s doing good,” he said. “He’s a survivor, a trouper. He was born coming out of the Great Depression, and then he was young during World War II. He saw a lot of struggle.” That perspective seems to be carrying Eastwood through yet another chapter of hardship.

Supporters didn’t hesitate to show their love. Social media lit up with tributes, memories, and heartfelt messages. Many highlighted not only his contributions to film but also his resilience as a person.

“There are literally hundreds of reasons why a man doesn’t get better with age,” one fan posted on X.

Another fan commented, “HE IS NEVER GONNA STOP!!!!”

Another fan chimed in, “I hope he blesses us with his presence for many more years!”

Photographs from December 2018 show Eastwood attending the premiere of The Mule with Sandera by his side. The two had been together for years, and her sudden loss clearly left a mark on him. Though the grief remains, Eastwood isn’t ready to slow down completely. In an interview with Kurier on May 30, he reflected on aging with intent. “There’s no reason why a man can’t get better with age,” he said. “And I have much more experience today. Sure, there are directors who lose their touch at a certain age, but I’m not one of them.”

Clint Eastwood, who has eight children- Laurie, Kimber, Alison, Francesca, Kyle, Kathryn, Scott and Morgan- continues to lean on family during this time. For fans, the hope is simple: that he keeps creating, keeps going, and, most of all, keeps finding strength in the days ahead.
