A new slo-mo video shows the exact moment Mike Evans’ head slammed into the turf during the second quarter of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Detroit Lions ‘Monday Night Football’ game, and it looks real bad.

After missing three contests with a hamstring injury, Mike Evans returned to the field for the Bucs’ pivotal showdown with the powerhouse Lions at Ford Field. Unfortunately, Evans suffered another serious-looking injury and had to be carted off.

In the slo-mo video below, you can see Evans’ head slam into the turf as he tries to reel in a deep pass from Baker Mayfield. Evans was slumped over as trainers took a look at him:

Coming into Monday’s game, the future Hall of Famer had 14 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown. He has recorded over 1,000 yards in each of his first 11 seasons, a virtually unbreakable NFL record.
