New video appears to show Alex Pretti in confrontation with federal agents days before killing

MINNEAPOLIS — Nine days before he was killed by federal agents, a video appears to show Alex Pretti at another scene protesting immigration enforcement.

Who was Alex Pretti, the intensive care nurse shot dead in Minneapolis?

In a video from The News Movement, a man who appears to be Pretti is yelling as black SUVs start driving away from a scene. Pretti is then seen kicking the vehicle’s taillight until it breaks. Agents stop driving and go over to Pretti, pushing him to the ground.

He is wearing what appears to be the same jacket and hat that he was wearing on Jan. 24, when he was shot and killed by two agents in the Whittier neighborhood.

The News Movement says the BBC analyzed its video, confirming the man is Pretti. A representative for the Pretti family has confirmed to NBC News’ Laura Strickler that the man is Pretti.
