A significant change has been made to the NFL schedule for Week 14, and it’s truly a win-win for all parties involved.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the league has flexed the Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers Week 14 game at Lamveay Field into the 4:25 p.m. EST slot on FOX. The Buffalo Bills-Cincinnati Bengals game, initially scheduled for the 4:25 slot, has been moved to 1:00 p.m. EST.
Regarding other potential NFL schedule changes, the league surprisingly announced they won’t flex out the ‘Sunday Night Football’ clash between the 9-2 Denver Broncos and 3-8 Washington Commanders in Week 13.
The surprising Bears lead the NFC North with a 7-3 record, though the 6-3-1 Packers aren’t far behind. The Bengals-Bills clash was a marquee matchup before Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a turf toe injury in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Now at 3-7, the Bengals face astronomical odds of making the postseason. Though Burrow is back at practice, the Bengals-Bills game doesn’t carry as many playoff implications as the Biears-Packers game.
Now past the halfway point of the 2025 season, there are sure to be new changes to the NFL schedule, so stay tuned.
What Other Changes Could Be Made To The Remaining NFL Schedule?

In the coming weeks, the NFL will announce additional schedule changes, including Saturday doubleheaders over the final weeks of the regular season. There are no assigned times for any of the Week 18 games, as the league will want to schedule the contests with playoff implications accordingly.
Looking at the remaining games scheduled for ‘Sunday Night Football’, the Minnesota Vikings-Dallas Cowboys Week 15 game could be flexed out, as both teams are below .500 and long shots to make the postseason. And it’s surely only a matter of time until the Cincinnati Bengals-Miami Dolphins Week 16 ‘MNF’ game is flexed out.
So if you have tickets to any of these once-appealing games that no longer carry playoff implications, keep a close eye on announcements for potential schedule changes.
