NFL Fans Slam Former QB Chris Simms For Trying To Criticize Tua Tagovailoa’s Generous Act (TWEETS)
Tua Tagovailoa’s classy and generous act has somehow earned him criticism from an NBC reporter.
The Miami Dolphins quarterback contributed $10,000 to a GoFundMe page created on behalf of Dolphins superfan Eric Carmona’s family following his death last week.
Carmona, a 30-year-old fan who showed immense support for the QB on social media, was the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident.
The navy veteran used a rubber dolphin mask and a voice modulator to hide his identity in his videos and is also known to have helped in coming up with the phrase, “TuAnon,” which was used to defend the Dolphins player.
He had a wife and four children.
Tua, as well as a number of other Dolphins players, made contributions to the page.
“He’s a diehard fan about me, but out of my respect to him, I mean, he basically not just covered me but the entire Dolphins,” the QB said during a minicamp session, per ProFootballTalk.
“For me to have done that, Tyreek [Hill] was able to do the same. Other guys have been able to do the same as well, to donate. But I just want his wife and his kids to know that we’re praying for them and that we’re thinking of them.”
NBC’s Chris Simms doesn’t think Carmona deserved to have his family collect that money in the wake of his tragic passing.
