Lions fan Ryan Kennedy talking to the media

Lions fan Ryan Kennedy might get banned based on his past behavior towards DK Metcalf.

Lions fan Ryan Kennedy might be cooked in the days following his altercation with DK Metcalf. The Detroit Lions fan spoke with the media on Friday to address the incident involving the Steelers’ wide receiver.

During his speech, he was disrespectful towards the Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver. Metcalf went over to the stands, grabbed Kennedy, and then punched the Lions fan during the Steelers’ Week 16 win. He was suspended for two games by the NFL for his actions. It was also announced that the suspension voided $45 million in guarantees.

The Browns have since decided not to void his future guaranteed money. Things have only gotten worse for that Lions fan.

On this week’s edition of “FOX NFL Sunday,” Jay Glazer provided the latest on Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf. The FOX Sports NFL Insider elaborated on the incident between Metcalf and the fan in Detroit. It occurred prior to this season’s incident.

“I actually have the security communication between the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks’ security from a game last year when DK Metcalf, when he was with the Seahawks, complained about that exact same fan to security. And, at the time there, he asked for that fan to be removed over a very derogatory comment,” Glazer said. “I’m not going to repeat what the comments are that are on here. Obviously, we don’t condone ever hitting a fan or anybody else, but in this it says, ‘When we investigated during the game, the individuals around him stated and corroborated that the fan was being out of line and had indeed said these derogatory statements. They even asked us to remove the guy.’

“The odd part of this also is that the Pittsburgh Steelers had no knowledge of this.”

It appears that Ryan Kennedy is a certified problem, and it just might get him banned from all stadiums.

A Happy DK Metcalf is The Best Thing For The Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired star wide receiver DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks in a trade in March 2025. Metcalf signed a significant contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They certainly did not want him to be happy over possibly losing $45 million in guarantees.

The best decision for them was not to void them since he is part of their future. During the two games, Metcalf will lose $555,000 in game checks. That is a drop in the bucket for what he could’ve lost. If he is happy, he plays better, and the team succeeds as a result of it.

Metcalf can return to the Steelers for their playoff game if they make the playoffs. The Steelers need to defeat Cleveland to win the AFC North. If not, it sets up a winner-take-all with the Ravens next week.

DK Metcalf will also miss that game.

Every seat in the arena was draped with a T-shirt reading “Hvala za vse,” which translates from Slovenian to “thank you for everything.” It was a thoughtful nod to Doncic’s heritage and impact on the franchise.

Before tip-off, during the starting lineup announcements, the Mavericks played a tribute video showcasing some of Doncic’s most iconic moments in a Dallas jersey. The emotional gesture clearly resonated—moving Doncic to tears in front of the crowd that once called him their own.
